We are happy to welcome students, parents, and staff members

 to the 2023/2024 school year at SHS

WHO are we?

All parents, administrators, teachers, support staff, students and alumni are considered to be Friends of Stamford High. 

WHAT do we do?

1. We provide funding for classroom materials and experiences NOT included in the budget such as cameras for Yearbook and Round Table and special calculators for the math department (also known as "Dare to Dream").

2. We provide college scholarships for graduating seniors.

3. We provide the senior class with a BBQ at the end of the school year to celebrate their time at SHS.

4. We host meetings throughout the year which provide the following information to the community:

   1. Updates from the administration on school-wide events and projects and an opportunity to speak with the administration.

   2. Updates from the Board of Education which could include; information on any new district-wide initiatives, information on board of education candidates, information on the school budget, and MORE.

   3. Informative sessions with guest speakers.

5. We provide a Back to School breakfast for the staff in August, a Teacher Appreciation lunch in May, and refreshments for the academic award ceremonies for seniors.

6. We hold fundraisers each year to provide these valuable services to the community.
